Job Description

Milgard, a leading manufacturer, is currently searching for a Receiving Supervisor to join our Temecula, California Leadership Team! The Receiving Supervisor will oversee the material receiving process to ensure the accuracy of materials received. They are responsible for overseeing and directing the daily responsibilities and activities of the receiving process, as well as training and development of their 15+ person team on two shifts, while assuring all safety and performance procedures are adhered to.

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the following key functions:

  • Managing the cycle counting of inventory and variance analysis to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Supporting the order process to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of materials in the plant.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment to support company safety objectives.
  • Ensuring materials are delivered to each department in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring Units per Employee Hour (UPEH) in order to plan work activities, schedule appropriate personnel and balance workloads.

The Receiving Supervisor will additionally have responsibility for employee development and process improvement. They must have strong computer literacy with the ability to lean new software programs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess effective written and oral communication skills with the capability to teach, motivate, and generate results.

Viable candidates should possess:

  • 5-7 years material receiving/inventory control experience.
  • 3 years of demonstrated results using Lean methodology.
  • Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • High School diploma required; college preferred.
