We have an opportunity available for an experienced Ops Leader in beautiful and affordable Temecula, California.

The Director of Operations is a leadership position that manages the effort towards effective and efficient utilization of all operationally focused personnel and physical facilities to achieve desired results in safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The Director of Operations is responsible for Production, Delivery, Maintenance, Scheduling, Materials, and Purchasing - and all associated personnel within these functions. Key responsibilities are managing the operating budget; controlling expenditures and variances, driving the Masco Operating System at all levels, and participating with management team members in training efforts, succession planning and developmental opportunities of staff.

A sample of some of the duties of this role:

  • Daily Gemba walks; Daily Management
  • Managing material inventories to ensure timely production of finished goods
  • Reviewing activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives; revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions
  • Reviews production costs and production quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the plant.

This role is multi-facility in that it will have supervisory responsibility for another window & door manufacturing operation within the Region, with a Plant Manager reporting up into this role.

The experience and skills that we seek include:

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous responsibility for 300+ employees
  • Demonstrated results using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to drive improved KPIs in safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction, and profitability.
  • Strong working experience with managing financial statements; performing to and managing operating budget and long-range plans.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing people through intentional succession planning, consistent one-on-one coaching and mentoring.
  • Four-year degree is required; MBA is a plus!
